What a great experience, guides would warn you of all possible dangers going out at night.. we found a very "humanity rich" city, great music at the New orleans Jazz national historical park, you'll meet great musical Park guards in uniform performing a free 3pm jazz concert to tell you the origins ( bayou and creole) and demo some style evolutions overtime. The very same Guards recommended to spend our evening in a special "Rock & Bowl" , actually a bowling, situated on the first floor of an industrial building see their web site : http://www.rockandbowl.com/ a must, people of all ages come there to dance , the band was fantastic, not a single tourist !! WOW!!
We went on a boat to visti the bayou : of course we saw aligators and some herons. Aligators respond quick to the captains' feeding of shamalows.. and fish. netx time, we'll try to find some more original and less crowdy tour.
Yesterday friday we went to the Mount Sinai temple, met a cousin of my cousin ( small world)! and spend the evening at a Cigar bar located on Tchoupatulas (Dos Jeffes) , our National guards were playing there with their band. good time, even if we were surprized to find cigar bars where people do smoke inside !! ( good old california).
We will absolutely come back soon and Microsoft organizing their next WPC in New Orleans, for sure e-bda may be back next year again !!
